Scripture of the Week

Untitled Document

"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5;14-16

"Faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word of God. " - Romans 10:17

Spiritual Growth occurs when a person makes a deliberate choice to be open and available to growth, made possible through God's Holy Spirit. It takes faith to make this choice. The Bible, God's word, says that "faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word of God." (Romans 10:17). Thus, we need to hear and to read God's word. It is the source of all wisdom and the foundation for our personal relationship with Jesus Christ

Small Group Wednesdays Bible Study : 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Our Wednesday classes are designed to promote fellowship and spiritual growth through the faithful teaching of the Scriptures. Each class is also devoted to establishing meaningful relationships and providing care to its members and their families as we unite to reach our community with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Classes are arranged according to common places in life and include gender specific and co-ed opportunities to be involved.

Small Group Bible Studies

Throughout the week various Bible studies are offered through different ministries of GOC to further develop spiritual growth within those ministries. These dynamic studies provide biblical instruction through an interactive approach in a personal and relaxed atmosphere.

The Bible teaches that we should be continuing to "excel" in the process of our spiritual growth (1 Thessalonians 4:1-3) through the study of His Word (John 17:17). These classes are designed for in-depth Bible studies that address specific areas of life in order to provide practical guidance and produce spiritual maturity in individual believers (2 Timothy 3:17) and the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:12-16). Everyone is invited and encouraged to participate in this vital ministry of spiritual growth.
